Question Need studio recomendations in NY to record Jazz drums

Hi, I´m from SP (Brazil) and I´m producing an instrumental jazz album.
One of the tracks will have a "big shot" drummer as a guest.
This drummer is located in NY (Manhattan).
So I need recommendations of a good studios (with good room and enough gear to track this drums) in Manhattan or NJ area (Weehawken etc) around 400-500 USD a day and a good engineer that will not cost an arm and a leg.
Thank you.

(feel free to pm me)

I had a list of place to consider, then I was the rate you are willing to pay.

Out side of NYC are plenty of decent studios with engineer.
How far are you can you travel?

Also, have you asked your drummer if he had a place he liked in the price range you're able to handle?

Another approach would be to record the drums via a small portable rig in a decent sounding rehearsal space or something to that affect.

Oh, one more thing...

Your english (grammer) is perfectly fine -- we understand you very well.

Hi Steve, thx for your fast answer.
The drummer is actually mexican and the only studios he knows in NYC is the ones he had worked so far (the usual suspects: Avatar, Clinton etc...) that I know is way above our budget. He said, he will try to find something but I´m doing my homework too. Please, if possible, send me your list of place and rate. I will consider for sure.
In tis meantime I will ask him how far can he travel with his gear.

Tehuelche, thx very much. Looks nice!
