This has been bugging me for sometime and I thought I would come to the experts. My question has to do with tube equipment. I am curious about the plus/minus of using a tube pre with tube mics? For instance, how's the sound? I ask because I am trying to decide about purchasing a pair of tube Schoeps. Would it be better to stick with my DPA pair and purchase a high quality tube pre? Any thoughts or insight would be appreciated. |

If you invest in a great tube pre you can impart some tube magic to all your mics!
