Question cheap snakes/multicore in europe

Hello, I need to but 2 16-way xlr snakes for live recording and I'd like to spend as few as possible.
I'm Italian and I need to buy them from places like germany or UK, to avoid long shipping and customs.
I'd also like to know if you can find 24 way XLR snakes here in europe....
Please help!!

-or-

16+4 XLR-XLR
THE SSSNAKE MC164 - U.K. International Cyberstore

24 is the cheaper option...

I think Musikhaus Thomann Cyberstore Eingang has stuff like that too. Usually they're the cheapest option - kind of "European GC". Lots of semi-pro stuff there too.
Try Musikinstrumente und alles für Musiker and Music Store Professional too. They seem a bit more on the pro side to me.

I get all our cables from Redco Audio
even after shipping (USPS) it is far cheaper than anything I have seen over here.

Hi Cioto,

how long should the cables be, and what's cheap? How much you want to spend?

I work part-time in a little music shop and found what you want in some catalogue.

Studiospares in the UK is usually a good bet. I've had good experiences with Sommer Cable.

Thomann also sell Sommer, so compare prices.

I did buy a load of 8-pair multicore from Thomann made by "Cordial"... and I'm afraid I wasn't impressed. It's not terrible, but it's not nearly as good as the Sommer. I'll admit, I bought the Cordial stuff because it was cheap. Therein lies a lesson - make your cables from the best materials and components the first time and save yourself the expense and effort of making cables twice. Cheap cable is a false economy.

Why is Mogami so hard to find in Europe these days?

I see a lot of Van Damme cable at shows in the UK these days. I'm sure its great, but I can't help thinking of badly-made action films every time I see their stuff

Redco look fairly good, but remember all the prices are per foot, not per meter. All the Mogami seemed priced similarly to Sommer, and then you've got shipping, tax and duty to worry about.

Redcos prices get quite good if you get 100meters or more of the same cable.
that being said I managed to negotiate a similar Mogami AES snake price here in europe, but opted for redco regardless as they still came out way cheaper on neutrik connectors.

Plus

Chris is runnig a first class business at redco!

I jump at any chance to support and endorse a business like his.
