Hi all, there was a thread about the spl atmos 5.1 system here a litle while ago, well I recorded a DVD (16 cam HD) for dutch dj tiesto in the parken stadium in Copenhagen, denmark this weekend, and had a chance to hear the spl atmos in a pop/ insanely loud PA situation.. http://www.gearslutz.com/board/attac...n-p1000228.jpg The mics, supplied and rigged by sonic one of holland, who will be mixing the dvd. http://www.gearslutz.com/board/attac...n-p1000265.jpg The mic in action. Obviously, apart from a few guest performers, there is not much to mix when it comes to a dj set, so the dvd sound will be all about the crowd and ambience.. I monitored in surround and really liked the huge crowd sound the atmos was able to get, being rigged a couple of meters above the crowd. In addition to the atmos, we rigged 4 416's and two neuman km 140's at the dj stage, facing the crowd. The trusty pyramix rig recorded 6 hours of 30 tracks in Bwav no problem.. huub |
