Talking Tracking Software for Duet + Macbook

The new Apogee Duet looks like a great unit, and I'm ordering one to use with my MacBook for simple stereo gig tracking of bands I play in. I was saving up for a Sound Devices 722, but the Duet looks like a great path for me.

I need to choose a tracking software. I don't need features or editing; I just wat to get it down in uncompressed 24/96 wav and transfer it into PTHD when I get to the studio.

I tried fooling around with Garageband, but it seems to use different file formats I'm not familiar with and I am concerned about converting and compression.

What works?

you could try waveeditor or bias peak for this...waveeditor probably cheaper and better option in the long run
