Lap Top Recording Question

a buddy is doing 5 nights a week in Vegas and though basic tracks for his upcoming album have already been tracked, he wants to do all his acoustic guitar tracks himself while hanging around the hotel.

what would be a "usable" recording interface he could utilize with his lap top?..I was thinking maybe the Apogee USB Mini-Me?

any ideas?

thanks

What kind of laptop? If it's a Mac Powerbook I'd recommend Metric Halo's ULN-2. Great cound and very nice pres on board.

The Mini-Me works very well for stereo tracking to a laptop. The pre and compressor is nice too.

I use the soft limiter on the Mini-Me with almost everything I record through it. Nice feature.

They can be had for 1K or less, btw. Make your sales rep be honest.
