Talking Crookwood ADC

I have been looking at posts about the Crookwood preamps and it seems to be not only me that is interested in the amp and its optional ADC card so:

Has anyone here used it / heard it?

Question

Big Bump !

In my neverending quest for "killer yet affordable" acoustic music mic pre/AD converter combo, the Crookwood iPre has really caught my eyes, however I haven't found any inputs on it's optionnal ADC card, nor how it would compare to the usual big names (Mytek, Prism, Lavry,....)

Anyone of you guys here to shine the light on us ? 0Vu or Roland maybe ?

Thanks in advance,
Stéphane.

I have posted very recently sound samples made with a Nagra LB and the Paintpot with it's internal ADC.

please bear in mind that you'll here a lot of back ground noise from the aircon.

The ADC is really good and when you look at the price it it a no brainer, go for it!

Nagra LB mic pre-amps compared to other state of the art mic-pres

Thank you, Kent

What a fine test report. It is among the very best ever seen by me.
Crispin and Co. are really a first class operation.

What an incredible performance.

Talking

Thanks for the quick replies gentlemen !

@Gaston69 -> Bravo Monsieur, very nice recordings ! I like both samples a lot, the quality of the Nagra LB is really astonishing when you consider the size and price of the machine. Some finds it to be in the same league as the "old" yet desirable Nagra V....
Paintpot with ADC is quite a killer combo as well !

@Design w Sound -> Really amazing results ! Thanks for hard work Kent !

OK, thanks to you I finally settled my mind and will answer to this iPre ad that was burning me for quite some time now........because I'm a Gearslut after all !
