Watching other people having a party just isn't a good time. I would have loved to have been there, but it was just horrible TV.

but yes, Britney did rock. Hopefully she made enough last night to support her habit for another week.

Thumbs down

Yeah, whoever produced that show should lose their job. There wasn't one smooth transition. Every aspect seemed unrehearsed. I wasn't expecting the performers to be that good, but I at least expected award show caliber hosts and presenters. Last nights show was all out garbage.

Whoever mixed that show should have his license revoked. Overall, it was the worst award show I've ever seen.

Chris Brown was pretty good, although the Michael Jackson part was a little...strange.

What really bugs me about these shows are that the people in the audience just sit there, even when the song is rocking. But I don't blame them, almost all the acts that preform on those shows are creations of producers and labels, and the audience knows this. Even though a song might rock, I doubt you would want to get up and rock out with the band, knowing full well that your friends will make fun of you the next day. Those bands and songs end up becoming guilty pleasure songs. There is absolutely no street cred around anymore at those shows.

The only time you ever see a hip act is when RHCP or U2 play those shows. When will award shows realise that rock and roll is attitude, not something you can plan in a meeting?

The only entertaining part was seeing the amateur video of Kid Rock bitch slapping Tommy Lee before the show. Now that's entertainment!

This happens at most industry-only invite events. The party locations for the show were where the energy and fans got a chance to show their appreciation

Lightbulb Just a thought....

Anyone find it odd that there is even a "MTV Music Video Awards" show for a channel that doesn't even PLAY music videos anymore?
