Opera is not my thing, but I loved this guys voice. He was amazing at the Italian Olympics last year. What a night. My wife and I tried to see him last summer in England, but he canceled. Pancreatic Cancer is almost impossible to beat. It took my first girlfriend at 35.

I saw him once with the other 2 tenors (the big 3 ). was incredible. 71 was his age, and he got famous when he sang in 1990 at the footballworldchampionship-opening ceremony in Italy. nice fat manthumbsup R.I.P.

This guy was a pop star among operatic tenors. I mean that in a good way. He will be missed. |

| Pavarotti
Yes a truely great artist. And apart from his art as an interpretator, I think just about anybody interested in sound can't be indifferent to the "instrument" Pavarotti. A miracule of nature! And to think that he sold more than 100,000,000 albums!!

well, i am happy to say a friend of mine survived his pancreatic cancer... it does have a 90% mortality rate... i guess he was one of the lucky 10%, he did have to remove a large part of his digestive system, has become a diabetic, and has had pancreatitis too, but he´s out of danger and back to working as a gigging musician. | |
