Opera is not my thing, but I loved this guys voice. He was amazing at the Italian Olympics last year. What a night.

My wife and I tried to see him last summer in England, but he canceled.

Agreed. I've never been a fan of opera, but he had a way of appealing to a much broader audience and wasn't afraid to have fun with what he did or who he was.

Yes a truely great artist. And apart from his art as an interpretator, I think just about anybody interested in sound can't be indifferent to the "instrument" Pavarotti. A miracule of nature! And to think that he sold more than 100,000,000 albums!!

well, i am happy to say a friend of mine survived his pancreatic cancer... it does have a 90% mortality rate... i guess he was one of the lucky 10%, he did have to remove a large part of his digestive system, has become a diabetic, and has had pancreatitis too, but he´s out of danger and back to working as a gigging musician.

Wow.... well anything is possible. It's been proven again! I hope he continues to thrive. Jennifer had been burping for 4 years, so by the time they saw it she was far along. Then she refused to boost her immune system with natural help, accepting the western medical approach until she was so sick from the chemo that it didn't matter anymore. Her mom had died when she was 20 so she gave up early, truthfully she never fought it as hard as she could.
