Question Cable labelling.....

not very exciting, but very important.

So I have one of those mini printers that print white labels
with black characters..... now I have a bunch of gluey gunk all over my leads
after 7 months.

How can I label these up nicely and clearly for the dark.

Use the same labeling system; just use clear heat shrink tubing over them.

Some manufacturers make 4:1 heat shrink so you don't have to remove the XLR connector.

Wink

Alpha made it in the past, but discontinued it a little while ago...
They still make 2:1 and 3:1 ratio shrink tubing.

Here are a few that still manufacture 4:1 stuff:

Zeus - PTFE* 4:1 Heat Shrink Tubing - 4:1 Shrink Ratio

Over-expanded Flexible Flame Retardant Polyolefin Tubing

QUALTEK HEAT SHRINK TUBING

ABL Electronics, Inc. -Shrinkable Tubing

Adhesive Heat Shrink : BuyHeatShrink.com : Polyolefin Tubing

SH277 4:1 Shrinkable Polyolefin Tubing

4:1 Ratio Polyolefin Heat Shrink Tube, Dual Wall, Flexible, Adhesive Lined Polyolefiln Tube

Electro Insulation Corporation - Polyolefin Heat Shrink Tubing

I'm not sure if everyone makes 4:1 in clear.

I hope this helps!

Turns out that only the last company listed makes it in clear.
