| im new to the 5.1 and post for that matter. i've calibrated my bluesky 5.1, and ive been mixing this live DVD concert. My question is, what do I need to look for as far as output levels on my meters? This is going straight to DVD, no theater. I'm using Apple Compressor to author the 5.1. I ran a test, and played it up against a live Peter Gabriel DVD on my home surround system, and all sounds good, no artifacts and sounds clean and punchy on the lows. Is it just that easy??? I know I have a huge amount to learn, but man... all these numbers and guidelines make your brain hurt. ![]()

| There's a ton of advice on the Dolby website... in particular: http://www.dolby.com/assets/pdf/tech...sic_Mixing.pdf Also go to: http://www.dolby.com/resources/tech_library/index.cfm and select "Dolby Digital (AC-3)" HTH Paul
