SOUND DEVICES... I seriously need to rant!!!

I can't quite relate to this thread, even though I empathise for all those that have had bad dealings with the accused.
I've dealt with the SD guys for over a decade now and they've always, without exception been of great help. I bought my first 20bit apoggee converters from them, and it's really been smooth sailing ever since. In recent times i had an eprom blow on one of my psx units, and they shipped me a new one within 24 hours. i also purchased
a digital RME interface which turned out to be not quite right for my application, and they allowed me to reutrn the unit, even though I'd discarded the box!
I think it's fair to say that every retail store has good and bad days as well as good and bad staff. It's really unfortunate that some guys on this thread have been on the receiving end of some bad customer service time and time again.
Haviing said that, I will say that in Melbourne, I always receive fairly outstanding
service from Lewis and the lads at AWAVE. They always seem to go the extra mile, especially in recent times when I purchased a new Sonic from them, which was a totally diffrerent customer service experieince compared to the clowns in sydney that used to distribute sonic.

I know Bruce (Thomas) .. He used to have an awesome band in Adelaide in the 80s called Shoot Party!
