Question Hip hop & eletronic music in live

hello,

I work as engineer of sound in live for a electronic&hip hop music and I want to find a good stereo compressor for master bus in live, I want to have a big big Pump pump (as a kick in metal music)do you know what I mean? I don't want to have a lot of coloration (without tube)

actually I would like C2 Alan smart or SSL compressor...is it good?

thx!

If you can spend the money for one of those 2 buss compressors, you should make sure you equal the quality of the live sound system.

I have the SSL comp that I HAD to have after using several G384s for broadcast and then trying one live. It is simply wonderful. I have used Alan Smart several times and it is also excellent, does what you are looking for.

If you are budget minded, look at the Roll Music 755 buss compressor. Same style, same idea of a buss circuit, and also an excellent contender for this job. It blew me away when I first listened to it.

Hope this helps!
