Question Dsub 25 AES pinout, anybody can help?

Hello

I'm in the need to build an AES/EBU Db25 to XLR fanout cable for a client of mine (you know...he had cable and connectors...so...).
I've been able to find the pinout diagram (which is not the same as the Tascam standard for analog signals), but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to connect ground pins...as it's not clear to which signal pair they belong...
Can anybody shed some light on this?

Thanx

L.G.

Just connect the ground wires to whichever pin is closest.
There's only one ground anyway.

Thank you for the answer.

Still...this wiring diagram doesn't make a lot of sense to me...Ground wires are all on one side of the db25...hot and cold wires are on the other side...I suspect the ground wires are going to touch each other if I try to connect them to the pins on the left side of the db25...my electronics 101 isn't up to spec here ( ), but isn't this possibly going to cause shorts in any way?

Thanx

I have built many of these DB-25's. You don't need to worry about isolating grounds from eachother. Actually I twisted several into groups such as all inputs as one and all outputs as another and land them onto one or two of the closent ground pins. The ground pins are wired as common inside the the piece it is connecting to. I do put heat shrink on any bare wire anyway and overall shrink a group of them together. Hope that helps.
