TODD AO

Fascinating Facility: as much as I found out on their website Todd-AO | Welcome and a really short video clip from Record Production for record producers, music recording studios and all involved in music industry - sound recording studio equipment for musicians band software downloads . They carry a pretty impressive list of credits.

Has anyone from here recorded there or has anything to say about them?

Big in the film-scoring world.

Their main big room used to be the famed "Glen Glenn" scoring stage.

Yes I have worked there. It is a good room with a great staff.
However, it is not a hall which is my usual domain.
As a controlled working environment, it is first class.

Since a management change 5 years ago, I am no longer interested in working there.

However, I can tell you that I get just as good results in a gymnasium with portable Neve consoles and some tarps.

Yes, the company changed hands and the management changed some time later after that. I have not worked there since that change.

Please don't take my comments as saying the room is not sounding good. It is sounding good just as it always did.

It just that I don't require a scoring stage to get the orchestra sound I want for picture.
