Hmm. Each has issues, benefits, bonuses & problems of their own.

Medium small (under 2000) Hard Rock NY, BB King's, Roseland, Nokia Theatre

Medium large 2500+: Roseland, Theatre at Madison Square Garden, Beacon, Hammerstein (There are two different venues at Hammerstein of 2 sizes as well)

And the two most preferred venues, Arena at Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall.

There is also the option of outdoor venues, from Summerstage to the North Meadow of Central Park to Wollman Rink to Randalls Island.

Location is a big issue in NY to get the right crowd. What kind of act?

And more importantly, WHAT overwhelms you? Traffic, access, crew, backline, security, production, SPL levels, police, city regulations?

Hope this helps!
