Question Good power conditioner ?

I have a problem with a strong hum when connecting Lexicon through analog inserts cables to Digi 002. I have borrowed a hi-fi hi-tech home made power conditioner (25 kg ...) from a friend (quite costly) .He hoped that I would report better recorded sound through that, but it was not so. But one thing I could report for sure - the insert hum was reduced substantially (not 100% but still ...). So I wonder - is there any good, reasonably priced power conditioner available which could help me to reduce this kind of disturbance ? Furman or something like that ?

Furmann makes great units....but your problem might be in a cabling issue or a bad connection...might wanna check that out.

I use four APC Smart-UPS 700VA units for (1) power conditioning, (2) surge protection, and (3) UPS for power outages.

But, if you are having humming on this one unit, I don't think you'll find the solution in a power conditioner. You probably have a ground loop of some kind. It can drive you nuts, but the only way to find it is to search through your connections. Do you only have one power source for all your gear? I had to isolate my studio room from the rest of the house, and ground the circuit right below the room, under the house. Originally I had several different power circuits, and I was continually getting ground loops.

Equitek makes great $tuff. I think it's the heavyest piece of gear I've ever carried (excluding a B3).
good luck,
