Radiohead, (last summer), Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band (2002 - I know its a few years back, but man oh man did they tear it up) words can not describe how amazing these shows were. honorable mention: Langhorne Slim - haven't seen him live in about two years, and he now tours with a backup band, but when I used to see him at local bars in NYC, put on a killer live show |

Nouvelle Vague was amazing...hadn't heard of them before they showed up to the venue and I was their monitor engineer, but it was one of the few shows I enjoyed. And any show that brings out the sluts!!!

sigur rós were fantastic the two times I saw them; first time in an old theatre where they did an intimate gig, second time in a big arena and they totally rocked. depeche mode ultra tour was great too. |

Wilco, I suppose. Just got the new CD with the extra DVD and the rehearsal performances there are staggering. Absolutely fantastic, I hope to catch them live someday.....

I've never left a U2 concert disappointed! Caught their act the last time they visited Copenhagen. Just a big ass show they put on! Their "half time show" of political statements was quite moving except the soundguy decided that the dialogue that were suppposed to accompany the big screen was not that important. |

Wilco sounded fantastic when I saw them last summer. Calexico was amazing and I wanted to burn all my music gear after seeing that since I thought there was no point to even continue on playing in a band after that. Fugazi always sounds great and was totally razor sharp the few times I've seen them.

The Eagles. So good - sounded like a record. Had to hand it to them - on their game bigtime. Also, just saw Jeff Beck. Incredible. He's got the tone to die for and the taste of a master. One more - Peter Gabriel. Couldn't believe how good he was. Class all the way. His voice is so huge and resonant - tastey music all around and on a really high level. Might be my favorite. Would love to see Radiohead. |

Sevendust, Killswitch, Deftones(absolutely the most energetic show I've ever seen, Chino's skinny days btw). I'd also have to say Outkast was fantastic live, I've seen many rap shows, eventhough it isnt my thing, and Outkast was by far the best sounding. I'm seeing Tool tomorrow night so I'll probably add them to the list.

+1 for Tool and Perfect Circle Incubus Recently saw The Who...wow. Living Colour All the piano chicks: Tori, Alicia Keys, S.McLaughlin, etc etc always seem to put on a flawless show. I think it's more of a stretch for singers in heavier bands. It also depends on how long the tour is and when you catch them. On a side note. Almost every band I've ever seen on a touring/label level have been able to play their instruments perfectly...for the entire show. What we are really talking about..I think..is what singers seem to be great and consistent every night of tours year after year. |

+1 on Calexico. That was the epitome of a well balanced, amazing, flawless show. They must have had about 8 people up there, their mariachi buddies too, who they record with. This was circa Fiest of Wire. I also have fond feelings for Dave Van Ronk whom I saw a month before he died and he just killed. He was so wierd and so original. |

Martina McBride. Outstanding powerhouse vocalist. She is a singer's singer. Got a nice little studio complex too huh? Blackbird.
