Question Live recording

I'm about to record two acoustic guitars, fiddle, double bass and small kit/perc in a relatively small room and want to achieve a 'live' interactive feel but minimise spill — particularly onto the guitars — any tips/ideas

We need more information (please):

Electric/Acoustic guitars?
Acoustic guitars? Put up a mattress or something to block the sound but not the view (eyes). Try that.
Electric/Acoustic violin? (Fender violin thing)

Put the drums opposite acoustic guitars.

Good luck. (the gig is probably over by now)

Rather than fighting bleed, move mics around until it becomes a blessing.

If you're trying to take a picture of an event, go ahead and take a picture of the whole event at once.

Stavrou's book does a good job explaining this.

If they sound good in the space, a stereo pair may be all you need.

I would suggest close microphones where you can. I must say I prefer having control over each instrument. That means using dynamics mostly.

A well sound contoured room always helps.
