You're in luck; I got mine in on Thursday. You need to make the transfer tomorrow or is your session tomorrow (or both)? I'm coming to the city on Thursday if it can wait, otherwise give me a call and we can figure out how and when to meet up tomorrow.

Awesome dude!!!

Tomorrow is the transfer session in Brooklyn.

I was going to deliver my gear tonight after 9PM or so.

If we can make tonight or tomorrow morning work, I owe you big time!!!

Just an FYI - if you have Marc Brevoort's HD24 Tools (freely available on the web) you actually don't need the Fireport at all.

It will read any FST formatted drive on USB, Firewire or IDE chain.

Also FYI - if the drive is larger than 320gb there's a good chance the Fireport will not spin it up. I experienced this a few weeks ago with 500gb drives and ended up having to put them on an IDE chain to read them.

Good luck!
Dirk

This is a quick, painless way to go if you don't need to transfer the files back into the HD24. From what I've read, Mark's program can't do that yet.

This is a power supply issue. When I experienced this, I contacted Robert Ray at Alesis and he had a new power supply to me the next day, and it's been working fine since. If this new PS starts to have the same issue, I plan to build/buy a beefier power supply so I never have to worry about it.

Cheers,

Thomas, you're a lifesaver! Thanks so much for making this happen for us.

Jon and I thank you very much.

You ARE the man, mon!
