15" MacBook Pro + MH 2882 + other gear transportation?

I'm looking for something that I can safely transport my laptop and Metric Halo 2882 interface in, along with other personal gear. Any suggestions? I like laptop messenger bags but am concerned with having enough protection and room, especially for mics.

I was thinking something like this:

you should check the archive at Metric Halo's user list. This subject popped up a while ago and I remember people suggesting very cool backpacks made by Brenthaven and other brands.

Some bags were big enough to fit in your laptop, 2882, mics and cables, etc.
