Question Will Sony MiniDisc files mount on Mac yet?
Wondering if any of you guys are using Mini Disc with mac.

I remember trying to get the disc to mount as a drive, but seems it's a proprietary file that requires Sony's sofware (windows only) to upload.

I wonder the same thing. I looked around for a "hack" a while back but never realy found one. I supose it would mount on the new OS.

Yes. For about three years now. Sony's software, Sonic Stage 3.4 and up do Macs. The latest generation machines also record 16 bit PCM on 1G discs, which I use for live and backup recording. Sound sjust fine for 16 bit, and they have surprisingly good mic pres too, better than ANY of the new compact flash recorders. According to some nature recordists I hang with...
