live sound

does anyone know where there are any live sound websites. Im helping a club with there sound. I know a little bit about it but not to a club level. I just need info on what is good on a budget of about 5000 dollars. they have some equiptment. I also need info on the best way to set it up.

PSW has a board for live sound that's decent but slow. $5K isn't much of a budget though. The club I'm at just spent something like $6K on treatment and that's just for the panels. We've been running a Community XLT rig with QSC power since October on a rental, we could've bought it for about $5K but that's just racks & stacks, no console, mics, monitors or monitor amps, processing etc. We just bought a Meyer & Crest rig which is going in sometime late this week and will be back when I get back from my vacation so I'm pretty pumped about it.

The first thing anyone needs to know is how big is the room, what's the capacity and what kind of music is going to be played there. You can't even begin to think about gear before you figure those out.
