Thread Starter | Studio floor, not wood !
Im finishing my little room to record/mix, i don´t want put wood in floor. What about ceramic floor and then make the ceiling absortive? Thanks my dear friends.

i use cork. its awesome.. soft tho.. becuase im clumsy.. i've put some pretty big divits and marks in it, dropping things. tutt |

vinyl is about as good as your taste... 100s of varieties available from fake wood finishes (which i hate) to vibrant solid colours to artsy patterns....

Cork is a great material and very environmentally friendly. Forgiving on the knees, too. Why not wood: cost, aesthetics? Though probably not what you're looking for, engineered bamboo flooring is very good. The surface is harder than oak and resists dings and wear well, plus it can be installed below-grade in basements and other places where you cannot put wood due to moisture issues. It's also a very renewable resource. |
