I'm chiming in a bit late, but...

It's not too late to sign up. I got you buddy's name, what's your name?
PM me if you want to keep it private.

I just need to speak to you (and a few others) that I do not know as of yet.
In any event, it sounds cool to me so, PM me your numbers and names ASAP.
PM me if you want to keep it private.

I also need to discuss Luger logistics.
IE: Food & drink ordering.
Bill payment – Luger’s will not do separate checks, but I have an idea.
Traveling to/from – How are you folks getting to Luger’s? Mass transit or what?
I may have a cool transportation option depending on how you’re getting there.

Some of you still need to confirm, so lets firm this up ASAP.
I will send a PM, email or call everyone very soon.

Does any of this make sense?

I plan on taking NJT to Penn Station, then the subway to wherever... I haven't really planned it out. Meeting at Luger's doesn't seem like an issue, it's meeting back at Steve's somewhat together that might be a problem.

Exactly. I was thinking we should car pool to my shop after Luger's.

So, how many Mass Transit folks are there?
And, how many are coming with a vehicle?

So, we're a weekend away from our first Remotester's luncheon!
I cannot not wait to see you folks...

It's gonna be a blast.

Keep in mind, Peter Luger Steakhouse is a CASH ONLY restaurant so make sure you bring enough bread to handle your food & drink orders.

Since I already have a deposit on the 3:45pm lunch reservation you'll be paying the bill through me.

I'll make up a guest list and we'll write in the orders (and pricing) ahead of time as we place them with the waiter. Remember there's an 8.375% sales tax and 15 to 20% tip that must be included in your budget.

We'll make sure we have an estimate of everyones order up front so the bill will not be a hassle to figure out at the end.

If you folks have a better idea on how to handle this economically let us know!

See you Monday, April 23, 2007 at Peter Luger Steakhouse, just across the Williamsburg Bridge.

Mmmmmm, Mmmm, GOOD!

That was a good time, great people, wonderful food. Much better than my trip to the doc to fix my allergies earlier today!

And Steve's shop is looking pretty hip. Everywhere you turn is loads of gear... Nice trucks, bro!

OK, now it's time to get the kids to bed and enjoy the cow coma from all the steak.

Thanks guys, for participating and showing up! Thanks Steve!

Great to see everybody at Luger's. Sorry I was preoccupied and had to jet early. Duty called, and sometimes as Steve mentioned, you have to be the fireman . Hope all you guys had a great day. Maybe I'll see many more of you at my Gearslutz party during AES.

It was worth it for some tasty meat! Yeah, there were 18 at Lugers, and I believe 15 went back to Steve's shop. We played with a little bit of gear, mostly got the detailed tour of the trucks and chatted. The new truck is going to be amazing. Someone took pictures (I'm sorry I don't remember, I'm horrible with names), and hopefully he'll post them very soon. Hint, hint...

Learn how to Record better!

Just spoke to Steve and brainstormed just a bit about our next "New York Chapter" get together. We would love to put together a workshop utilizing some of Steve's favorite gear at both his shop and at my studio, entitled:

"A remote recordists empirical guide to highly applicable techniques and their audible implications in a sonically controlled environment"

or

Steve's live recording methods in a recording studio.

Our last time at my place was a blast and Steve was a major part of it. I would love for all to benefit from over 30 years of field experience. We also plan on Videotaping for the forum. Date TBA.

Let us know who would be interested.
