I'm up for afternoon... or evening. My time table for the 23rd is flexable. If I had to pick, I'd go for 3:45 (more time to talk, eat, drink, talk, eat, talk, talk, drink, talk, drink, eat, talk drink)

Also, I invited my friends @ Sheffield AV to check out this thread.

I spoke to Jin and we decided on April 23rd, 2007 at 3:45PM...

Peter Luger's didn't want to take a reservation with that many guests later than 3:45PM or earlier than 9:45PM so, Jim and I felt we should make 3:45PM happen since we can spend a longer time meeting and greeting each other and of course eating and talking audio stuff. After that we'll head over to the field shop for some play time and it doesn't have to be so late in the night when we split up.

Please confirm your RSVP ASAP.

Check post #28 of this thread...
If you see your name on the list and it has a "confirmed" notice next to it you need not reply.

If you're not on the list or have ????? next to your name please let us know if you can make it or not.

If you need to bail and your name is on the list let us know so I can modify it.

See you folks soon.

Is it just me?

Everything I look at this thread, or even think about it, I'm hungry!

Who is ready for a REMOTE LUNCHEON?

It's scary, how much I think about audio...and food. Wonder which one I love more?

Thumbs up

So, it is official...

I just booked us for 14 guest at 3:45PM on April 23rd, 2007 -
The place: Peter Luger Steakhouse in Brooklyn by the Williamsburg bridge!

I had to leave a deposit of $30.00 per person to reserve this luncheon.
I put it on my Peter Luger Credit Card so it's all good with not needing to put any up front cash on the table.

We have some flexibility -- As long as we let them know in advance, we can add or subtract guests if and when it's applicable.

$30 in microphones? How about 3 old Shure "unispheres"? (+ cables) (1/4" jack) I'll throw in a crushed velvet "teardrop" bow tie.

Afternoon would be fine. April sounds good. Maybe I can wear a short sleeve shirt (again) by then haha. I'll keep in the loop, but you can pretty much count me in for anytime.

For more information about Peter Luger Steakhouse click on the name.
Directions and other information is available on their website.

As stated above, we are meeting on April 23rd, 2007 for a 3:45PM reservation at the BROOKLYN location by the Williamsburg Bridge.

May I suggest we meet no later than 3:30PM in front of the place.

Does this sound good to everyone?

Man, I hope I can live up to all this hoopla...

I like coming in low-key and blowing everyone away.

We're already at "the chase scene..." Where do we go from there?

I got to work on this...

I got some time.

if someone were to go to NYC, wouldn't they run the risk of getting mugged?

It is more likely that the Gearslutz servers are down than getting mugged in NYC.

It all depends...

How much money would they have in their pockets?

...anything I find, I keep?

Hey Steve,

I've gotta bail. I have a studio recording for radio of Page McConnell(ex-Phish keys) that day and won't have enough time to make it in from Jersey. Everybody enjoy and take pix! I'll catch you next time!

Oh, BTW if anyone wants to hear any of the radio stuff I've recently done, go to the WBJB Interview Archive.

I've got shows up there with Pete Yorn, Jesse Malin, Shannon McNally with the John Ginty Band, Indigenous, Joseph Arthur, and Willie Nile.
