| This year has been an awesome year for me so far. I picked up an rme madi card, adi-648, did my first small live recording event, but 2 major things happened so far. One I started working with Larry Hammel at deepwave and today I met the great Steve Remote. All I can tell you is that I was simply blown away. I met him and visited his shop in queens, and like I said I was in shellshocked of the knowledge and gearsluttiness of Steve Remote. It is was with great honor to be with a true engineering genious. His attention to detail is fabulous, every stone unturned, etc etc. Just look at it this way... he uses 4 screws to rackmount his gear!!!!! But it was a blast and I hope to one day achieve that level of greatness. The dude that works with him, adam was such a great guy also. And to all of you who think you got it bad, Mr. Remote makes guitar center and sam ash look like little joe shmoes grocery store!!!!

| Well, I think it can be an on going event if you play your cards right… It was very nice to meet you yesterday. Maybe next time you can tell us about your new gear and that first live recording gig you did. IMHO, you’re in great hands with Larry Hammel at Deepwave. He’s a wonderful person and a good guy to know. Furthermore, thank you for the super kind words. Sometimes it’s difficult to know what to say because I don’t see myself like that. Even when I take a few steps back and look at the big picture I see a hard working cat, but “great” – Well, that’s another story. I’m not sure if I deserve all the praise and tribute, but I surely appreciate the sentiment deeply. I can see how you were blown away by the field shop. We do have more gear than space over there for sure. In many ways details are a big part of what I’m all about… Do you know why I use at least four 10/32 screws for each piece of rack gear? I have thousands of screws in stock so, I want to use as many as I can because I can. Heh If I did only use two they would be installed at the bottom and not crossed. Do you know why? It was a blast for us too and we should do it again real soon. Hey, you said you hope to achieve “that” level of greatness one day. Keep this notion in mind and it WILL come true my man… If you train (work) hard, you’ll win easy! Power perceived is power achieved! Well, I don’t know if I agree about the "Banjo Depot" and "Sam’s Arse" statement, however I see how you can imagine this with all that gear stacked up 12 feet high. With all that said, I’m surprised you didn’t bring up my favorite part of the field shop… IMO, it's the “tree house." ![]() In any event, there are many more shops that have just as much or more gear than I do -- You haven't seen them yet. Thanks again Cliff -- Stay in touch!

| Cliff Thanks for the props. You are a very gracious guy and very perceptive. Steve is an amazing technician, developer and futurist. I am happy you met him, he is one of the best in the business and a great friend. I'll say it again, If Steve were leading our forces in Iraq we would have won months ago. He missed his calling! ![]()

| Steve's gear slutiness is legendary, his motto is 'but I need at at least a pair". As someone who has worked with him on projects both remote and at my studio I can tell you his attention to detail is second to none, as a matter of fact Steve had alot to do with the layout of my studio. When I was building it, it was Steve's suggestions that greatly affected the way this place is. Not to mention he helped me unload a truck full of lumber. and his ear's also amazing, he can hear a bug die a block away.
