Just saw this video and got some chilli chillz!
Sounds live (is it really?) and slammin az hell.
Song is OK. Guitar harmonies are fun.
Anyone with more tech info?

Hutch does the FOH, but they have their own remote truck mixing on the fly and making live cd on the fly on tour.

It looks like this was "set up" in a room with just a couple a cool kids hanging out.
Definately some room mics. God the drums are creamy.
I assumed that the video and recording were meant to serve the shoot.

SWEET!
Love the sound they have on that recording. The synth sounds great in that setting.
Thoses drums are lushus too.
Any idea what effect Jack White has on his guitar?

Yes drums sound hella gooood ! Hes got a big kick , looks like a 24 or 26 . I never liked white stripes much cause that girl sucks and ruins it , but these guys are one of the best rock bands out right now for sure . Somebody has got to know what that guitar effect is .

as far as the guitar effect, i'm not sure what you are speaking of... maybe on the second lead break? if so, almost positive thats a whammy, set up an octave. sounds like it's tracking thumbsup

My first thought on the guitar lead was fuzz face or some kind of fuzz pedal. I am not really hearing an octave.
What you are hearing as tracking glitches I just hear as normal fuzz box breakup.

So anyone here with any inside scoop?
I imagine it was tracked to analog but could be wrong.
The overall balance of room and close mics is perfect.
It feels pumpin like zepplin. It doesn't hurt that the drummer is playing a levee breaks style beat though-)

FANTASTIC live recording!!!

That effect is 100% fuzz>digitech whammy pedal...
(you can see it at the begining of the video)
