Extremely nice. Probably the best! Michael Jackson was nice too.

"Wow" ?

Really?

Huh... I was underwhelmed. He seemed like he was phoning in his performance, the band was anonymous, and ever since someone told Prince he could be a Guitar Hero™ he's been spending way too much onstage time shredding and not enough time grooving. If anyone was in desperate need of a wardrobe malfunction, it was this halftime show.

Plus, I wonder what all the folks who were complaining about the mix for The Rolling Stones' telecast last year think about the Prince mix? Oh wait, in order to call something a "mix" you need to have more than one instrument in the blend...

I agree that the bubushka(sp?) was a bit wierd and the mix sucked. He is still a great performer. I would loved to have heard John Blackwell playing with him..... then again I would to have loved to hear the drums at all?!?!?!

Totally disagree. That was the best halftime show I've ever seen. I thought the mix they pulled off was an amazing feat. Did it sound like a record? ...um...NO. It was in a football stadium with a freaking marching band accompanying. I was just please I could hear the marching band when it was adding something cool. The guitar solos were nice and in your face when it was appropriate.

These things are always a sound nightmare. I heard the Stones were purposely handicapped because Jagger refused not to sing "you make a dead man come" during Start Me Up. That mix was atrocious. Didn't matter much. The Stones still rocked the house.

But, in my book, Prince delivered the best halftime show ever. I mean, the guy made a stage out of his own symbol and strutted around blazing guitar solos...., twin chicks grinding on him..., doing a Foo Fighter's cover....that's rock and roll. I don't care where yer from.

I would not rather have it sound like a record. In fact, I get disgusted when I attend/watch/listen to a concert that sounds like the record. That is what kills me the most about some live shows. Half the time you are hearing playback from tape (Ashlee Simpson anyone?).

Prince - Kudos for playing what he did live and putting on a great show.

CBS - fire the mixer for that atrocity.

Best ever. The rain was damping the cymbals big time but I just loved hearing him wail, I forgot how awesome he is on the guitar. Got to be one of the top 20 best guitarists ever.

Ive seen him do a sound check before a show and he played piano, guitar and bass so incredibly...its a shame he doesnt get more credit as a musician.

The sound in the stadium sounded fantastic as well...freind of mine works gameday
presentation at Dolphin Stadium, great halftime show in person or TV.
