|  SQN aux return cable/jack I am in need of the correct term for a certain cable. I have an SIE field mixer (not very well known I guess). It has the same aux return socket as older Mono SQN mixers, 5 pins. I'd be glad if someone could tell what the correct term for that type of cable/jack is, so I'll know what to look for. Thank you. |

| sonidista It's called a d.i.n. connector (of German origin.) They're not all that uncommon (maybe even a Radio Shack item. Interesting mixer... Remoteworld |

| SIE I was thinking of DIN too, but the plug has a thread, so the jack is not just plugged but also screwed in, therefore I'm not quite sure if DIn is correct?! by the way, I really like the mixer. Swiss heavy quality, great sound to my ears. |

| This is a 5pin DIN connector. SQN is a British company by the way. They owned the market for ENG type small/portable mixers (and still have a big share in GB) until SoundDevices came along. They're known for great customer service and I'm sure they can and will help you getting this connector. | Ah, sorry, I missed that. I have never seen any kind of SIE equipment. Any chance to post an image somewhere? Again, if the connector looks exactly like the one used on the mono SQN mixer it is DIN. There are Tuchel connectors that look very much like DIN but really are Tuchel. Nagra used 5pin Tuchel connectors a lot (all of them srew-in) and being Swiss too, maybe ..... best, Karl Karl Lohninger Los Angeles |

| pictures here are some pictures of the mixer. (SIE MP 232) http://www.sonidista.de/pix/IMG_1633.JPG http://www.sonidista.de/pix/IMG_1649.JPG I found out the connector is 5-Pin DIN, so I can use it to output the signal and return a monitor signal by one plug. Older SIEs might use Tuchel though. |
