Smile books on mixing drums.

I would like to learn much more about the art of mixing drums, mostly mixing not capturing the drums.
Are there any great books or interactive DVD's out there anybody recommends,
I checked out Charles Dye dvd, some great tips but I am looking for focusing just on the mixing of drums.

Reading about mixing is sorta like going to the School for the Blind to get a degree in Visual Arts. Just because they teach stuff there doesn't mean that they can teach you what you need to know.

Your best bet is to spend a lot of time listening to great records in a proper mixing environment. That is how you train your ear to know what sounds right. It also helps to be around someone who knows how to mix. Get an assisting gig or just hire someone to mix a record and observe. Like any skill, you have to practice to be good. This takes a lot of time and effort. You wouldn't hire a drummer who had never played a gig but had bought a nice kit. The same goes for mix engineers. You have to experiment, practice and work hard in order to get good.
