Thread Starter | Steve, Do you have any pictures of your new expanding side truck? I'm trying to gather information on building an expanding wall trailer or truck. Who are you having build the sliding sections? Thanks for your input... Mike |

| I purchased the vehicle used from another industry. My crew and I have done 100% of the design, fabrication and installation of all components. We handle the majority of the maintenance and improvements on the expando and other two mobile units. All three trucks are stationed at our field shop. Here are pictures of one of the hydraulic pistons fully extended. Notice the square tube within a tube sliding support beam behind the piston... The two hydraulic experts I'm friendly with keep me on the right track.

| All wiring, carpentry, everything gets done at the field shop. I love working on this stuff almost as much as recording live on location! This vehicle has dual expanding walls. Each side of the 27 foot box expands out. The expandable sections are 22.5 feet long and give you a width of 14 feet. Here's two shots of the street side expansion... |

| Here's a couple of front view pictures of the ASL expando truck. Notice ASL's silver body truck on the left -- June 2004, will mark it's 17th year in service. |

| Yeah, we have plenty to do to finish this bad boy. We still have to install the Teak hardwood finish which will bring everything together... If it looks nice now wait until you see the teak finish I have in mind. The video wall and rear glass doors will also be an awesome sight to see... All I need is the time and money to get me there. Inch by inch, step by step and we'll be done. |

it's a neve 8301 extended kelso. I've owned it for over two years now and it kicks major arse. Just this month it was used for guitar overdubs at avatar, nyc and then for mixing at the aura sonic field shop, and who knows where else it may show up. any ways here's a closer look. ![]() | |
