| I think Acid has just about killed earning a living from MIDI because anybody who wants that kind of sound can just do it themselves. Because of this, I expect to see a return to live instrumental performance, live broadcasts/webcasts and shows. Remote recordings and broadcasts are dramatically more easy now than they have ever been. This means there'll both be lots of them and lots of recording in interesting spaces. With 24 bit recording, people can literally split all their mikes, throw everything on its own track and work with it later. |
