Play Back system

Wondering what the good folks at gearslutz use for listening to mixes, beats, etc, after they are made and mixed down. is it Better to mix, listen on a playback system, make corrections(if needed), then master, or..........is it better to mix, master, then listen, then go back and make corrections (if needed). thanks!
