Purchase advice please.

Hi, I'm planning on making a few purchases in the near future and would like some advice on a few things. I apologize in advance for this being a pretty vague post but I really can't decide on anything right now.

I'm planning on purchasing a MIDI keyboard, a MIDI pad controller, and a set of monitor speakers. I will be using this with an M-Audio Firewire 410, Ableton Live, and Pro Tools M-Powered.

Right now, I am looking at this keyboard:

Specifically the UF50. I have looked at a few other keyboards (particularly an Edriol line and some Emu stuff) and I have pretty much decided on this one, but I am open to any suggestions really. As far as the pads go, I am really digging the Korg one and the only real advantage the new Akai one have for me are transport controls (which the CME keyboard has) and lots of knobs and sliders.

Now, the monitors are a bit more tricky. I have a pair of Event TR8XLs that I like but one of the amps broke. I would get it repaired but shipping (I live in Hawaii) two ways plus parts and labor would almost be the cost of an entirely new speaker. Now, what I can't decide on is whether I should just buy a replacement TR8XL and hope the other one doesn't bust (I monitor at proper levels and nothing out of the ordainary has happened to cause an amp malfunction) or if I should just buy a whole new set of monitors.

I was looking at the ever so highly recommended Blue Sky Media Desk monitors which would fit in my price range and seem to fit my needs. I'm comfortable with the Event monitors right now but I am sure I could adjust to the Blue Sky ones. Any ideas?
