MPC 1k Tracking into Logic?

I can't get this working to save my life

...I've done searches etccc....Looked through the manual and got the MIDI working just fine. I can hear my MPC sequences from my audio interface (Presonus Firebox) but for some reason I can not record the audio. Now I have 2 line outputs coming from my MPC into the inputs on the back of the Presonus. Thats all I should need to track it out (2 tracks at a time) correct? Tell me if I'm wrong but I thought that was all I needed to do. Everything is synced I just can't record the audio into Logic 7.. Someone helppppp me pleaseee.

as crazy as this sounds I just midi out my mpc into logic, highlight a 2 bar section and hit record, wait for 2 bars to pass then I hit play on the mpc. Almost like I'm sampling the midi into my logic.

I've synced it to mtc and I have to say this is by far the best way for me to get a nice feel for my drums and stuff the rest of the instruments I just use logics sequencer

You do have those firepod inputs selected on the tracks your recording on in Logic right?
