Fix it now or "Fix it in the mix" ?

It gets on my nerves when i find myself saying " Ill fix it in the mix"
I was wondering what you all would fix on the spot in regards to working with an mpc or synth / keyboard or anything or making drums or tuning a sample or drum or EQing or adding effects to a sound annnnything.

What would you fix now or later on in the mix?

I only fix things in the mix that I over-looked in the initial recording. Sometimes as a song progresses, things need to be changed, pitch, eq, etc... but that's just mixing

You should try to get the best sound possible before the mixdown, and if the sounds still need work, tweak them in solo mode then again within the mix.
