Logic Space Designer

Hi guys.

I'm a songwriter who also produces a little bit, and I just can't find the right reverb to use for example for vocals, guitars, e-piano, snare, ...

I would really appreciate some tips. Probably you guys have some favourite templates, tricks,....

Thanks in advance for your comments.

welcome to the jungle my friend!
i would say space designer is a very good starting point. but maybe you should have a look into Altiverb too - i think it sounds WAAY better.
but it always depends on your music, so on a ballad you´ll use more reverb than on a fast rock song.....
a good way is to use a pair of good headphones and check some of your favourite music/mixes and listen to the rooms/verbs they´d used on it.

Cheers

Check out the impulse responses on this site:

They blow SD's presets out of the water. Downloading them and getting them to show up in Space Designer isn't the easiest thing. I've gotta take off to work, I'll do some searching while I'm there cuz I had a thread on this, or another forum, regarding this same issue.

space desinger is really good. not as good as altiverb thoug, but are u going to spend 500 bucks in a soft reverb when u have like 5 reverbs already in logic.

one thing is that space designer and altiverb are convolution based so their sound will be differet than everything u heard before 2000. if u cant find that right reverb sound with SD, try platinumverb or other non-convulotion base reverbs tha fill space more like it did in songs we love.
that snare reverb in ballads.. its going to sound too nice with SD.

also try the PSP stuff and emulations of the lexicom verbs.

audiodamage just came with a new reverb , again for the cheapest price and excelent quality,
