88.2kHz easy math to convert to 44.1 I find there's less need for eq on vocals at 88.2

DSD would be nice, it's cool, but until the end-consumer gets DSD machines, it's all going PCM eventually... I do understand the wide to narrow pipe concept, and have thought of getting the Tascam DSD thingy with some nice converters. You arn't multi-tracking to DSD are you? ![]()

| 44.1 but I'll be switching to 96 or 88.2 as soon as I get a new computer that can easily handle it. 44.1 because it's easy and sounds fine. The higher sample rates do sound better in general though, at least to my urrrs.

24/96. I find it helps in more effective and analogue-like high end EQ adjustments, more accurate and faster responding dynamics, and much more accurate peak level metering. But this is only noticeable in certain scenarios.

24/44.1, I think the bit rate is much more important, I do hear a difference between 16 and 24. I've worked with 96khz quite often and could never tell the difference except for once, I was recording a 4piece string ensemble and at 96khz, I really felt like I was sitting in the middle of the room, but who knows maybe it was just a better take, or I really wanted to hear the difference and it was all in my head .Anyway, 24/44.1 is just fine
