24-bit 808\Linn Drum samples

Any idea where I could get these from? I'm doing some mastering and need to keep everything at 24 bits.

wow...lol...thats a lot to look thru!! you can check on the akai mpc website and download some of the vintage drum machine kits that are on there...they may be in 16 bit (i'm not sure) but i doubt you'd ruin anything by converting the sounds to 24 bit if they aren't 24 already

If you run an 8 bit kick through some nice outboard gear it would be worth sampling it higher, otherwise I don't see why you cant just convert it from whatever it is to 24bit.

I just use drumatic 2, a freebie, for my 808 type needs, does the trick.

not that Im a fan of 808 kicks,the only one for me is the one from the original Roland TR 808 drum machine.

I have access to one that was retrofitted with Midi
I'm gonna try sampling at 24bit 96k and putting it on round robin in Kontact (or maybe geist if I get it) The thing I don't like about 808 samples is it only captures 1 hit of the sound. The real machine does something different each time a kick hits. (I may do a version processed to tape as well)
