24-bit 808\Linn Drum samples

Any idea where I could get these from? I'm doing some mastering and need to keep everything at 24 bits.

Why do you need 24 bit samples of an 8 bit drum machine?

If you run an 8 bit kick through some nice outboard gear it would be worth sampling it higher, otherwise I don't see why you cant just convert it from whatever it is to 24bit.

I just use drumatic 2, a freebie, for my 808 type needs, does the trick.

thumbsup

I have access to one that was retrofitted with Midi
I'm gonna try sampling at 24bit 96k and putting it on round robin in Kontact (or maybe geist if I get it) The thing I don't like about 808 samples is it only captures 1 hit of the sound. The real machine does something different each time a kick hits. (I may do a version processed to tape as well)

"]I am pissed that I sold my original Roland TR 808 for a lousy $300 right before it being re discovered by the HH crowd.
I bought it brand new in 1981 for $1100.00 and at the same time I bought a brand new Tascam Porta Studio the first one![
