Elektron MachineDrum

Anyone here use a MachineDrum (Elektron MD)?

Was wondering if it's worth checking out, how does it compare to say an MPC or software.
I would be using it primarily for sound design/building percussion sounds, but if it has a cool sequencer I was thinking maybe making it a new addition to the arsenal.

I'm looking at either the MachineDrum or Native Instrument's Kore w/ Komplete Bundle ...

I have a machinedrum and its a fabulous piece of gear.
Soundwise it covers a lot of ground from classic TR type sounds to samples and bizarre Glitch buzzes and noisestuff.
Lots of ways to get creative and find your own unique drumsounds.
For each kit you get 16 temposyncable LFOs that can control any parameter that you like and you can use all of them for a single sound if you want to!

Dont underestimate the sequencer. Its a major part of the magic since you can dial in a totally different setting for every sound and step.
And its dead easy to use.
Hold down the pad of the step you wanna edit and turn the knobs with your other hand until you find a setting that you like.

I also own the Komplete bundle and while i like the sounds that Absynth and FM7 bring to the table i never really liked Battery.
Sure its a cool plug in to host all your drumsamples but sequencing has to take place in your DAW and those just dont compete with the environment that the Machinedrum offers.

Yep, Machinedrum is incredible!

I would always keep my MPC and my Machindrum! They give me a tighter feel and whole world of groovedevelopment!

Best regards,
