Reggae Mic and Pre combo? Options listed below.

I am to record a reggae singer/rapper (think shaggy/beanie man) and I'm wondering what would be the best mic pre combo to start out with. The gear options are below.

I know, I know,,, it depends on the voice etc etc,, but what would be your first choice to try out?

Pre's to choose from

- Avalon 737sp
- TL Audio C1
- Focusrite ISA 110
- Focusrite VoiceMaster
- PreSonus BlueTuber
- Behringer Ultragain Pro

Mic's to choose from

- Rode NTK vacuum tube condenser
- AKG c3000b
- Audio Technica 4050
- Audio Technica 4041
- Audio Technica Pro-25
- Sennheiser MD421
- Shure SM57
- Carvin CM90e
- Carvin D42
- Carvin D44
- Audix D3

Thanks!

NTK -> 737 with the high gain button disengaged. The 4050 is the next best vox mic, but it doesn't hold up against the NTK if you know what you're doing. The Focusrite ISA's are complete garbage.

Hey since reggae is sometimes aggressive how about the RE 20 or sm7 for a mic?
