Just scratching the surface

With Logic 7.

And I have to say I'm really impressed with the sequencer on this thing but I have a few questions.

Does it automatically quantize or do I have to manually do it and how do you play with swing.

I think I have a touch of latency from the padkontrol to logic how do I rectifiy this.

I went to GC and bought a couple of things

Liquid mix. It's decent not in love with it The control is pretty cool but I like my waves platinum stuff a lot better

JBL LSR *8's very Impressed.

Padkontrol Impressed

1) Latency?? That is strange. I have the padkontrol too! IN prefs->driver-> audio ( or something like that ) I set the buffer to 1024 and there never really is latency with software instruments...and when I record some live things I need to turn it to 256 or 128.

UNLESS you have the multiband compressor or limiter connected somewhere... that will cause latency

2) The quantize can be made automatically or not. With the arrange window in front of everythign else, press the "x" key on your keyboard...that is the best little window. If you have no sequences selected, and the quantize is set to a value, it will quantize anythign recorded. That is how you turn it on to be automatic or not, by setting the quantize value with no sequence selected.

Then, you can set other paramters too. 16a is no swing, but you can put swing on with the swing % setting. 16b-f have some degree of swing already applied. 1/16 you cannot put swing on. etc.

Also, there is the "strength" % that lets you set just how strong your notes are moved towards the exact timing...indespensible!
