Adlib frequency

Need to know what frequency does adlibs sit in but not be over the lead vocals.

Every 2nd word whould be an adlib so things dont get cluttered.
Every word only works occasionally.
Less than that and your sound wont be modern enough to be relevant.

They usually sit in freqiencies that are associated with midrange.

^^^??? Modern enough to be relevant what are you saying kanyes vocal never hardly had adlibs is he not relevant??

I think adlibs should be used whatever deemed creatively needed

generally speaking you want adlibs to have less 'presence' so as to not drown out the leads, cutting in the high mids is a place to start. depending on the track and style/effect you're going for.
