I m working on a HYBRID hip hop/house album at the moment and I'd like to insert some funk-soul-disco- samples that I'd like to cut-up them the daft punk way.
Any tips, tricks, links, advice etc... all suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks for your answer.

HELP NEEDED! Cut samples techniques : software sampler or hardware?
I m working on a hybrid hip hop house album at the moment and I'd like to insert some funk-soul-disco- samples that I'd like to cut-up the daft punk way.
Is it possible to make those cuts with kontakt 02 or Ableton Live simpler or do I have to buy a hardware sampler? If yes, what is the best hardware sampler for this task?
Thanks for your answer.

HELP NEEDED! Best hardware sampler for its sound and warm?
I m working on a house album at the moment and I'd like to insert some funk-soul-disco- samples that I'd like to cut-up the daft punk way.
Since I m not satisfied with the samples sound in my DAW with the VSTi, I'm looking forward buying an hardware sampler, so, even if that question has been already posted thousand of times : what is the best hardware sampler for its sound and warmness : s950, s2000, MPC2000 or ASR 10 or Casio FZ-1?
Thanks for your answer.

I'd like to know what are the risks of releasing an album without clearing anything?
Thanks for your answer.

Are there any interesting Internet links to know more about sample clearance average prices?
Thanks for your answer.

I remember seeing that one a longggg time ago. LOL. corny video, but good info.

Cwar05....you might try and pick up a few books/videos.....some are cheap, some are expensive. One video/book will not do the trick. and with some of your wants.....you could do it old school. Find a studio engineer or producer in town and just pay him/her to show you a few things. You might can book them for a lower rate as it will not be a full recording session....just a "Show Me this, show me that" type thing. If you don't have a lot of money...just GOOGLE the net. There are lots of free info that will help you.
