Gigs in Las Vegas

It's been quite awhile since my last post here. So glad to see that this Rap & Hip-Hop section of Gearslutz survived and became more than a temporary forum. I have recently relocated to Las Vegas and am looking for a gig in a studio or similar enviorment. If any of you has any plugs on just such opportunities, please let me know.

All our spots are full, but try digital insight. Odds on recording in Henderson has a small room open, but not sure if they need anytnhing now - they'll probably wait till the building is built and the design gets nailed down

Digital Insight is going to require a 6 month internship, no matter what your experience is. You might wanna see about seeking out your own clients if you want to Engineer. Getting a house engineer, or even assistant gig, in Las Vegas is a f'n nightmare. Trust me, I tried it.

They broke down one of the 9Ks to a 48-chnl unit and have a stocked room running, there is another room but I don't recall what was up there, but I did get a nice view of Tom extensive mic collection . Tom sold the other 9K a few weeks ago. I was there on the AES meeting and tour of the CD/DVD pressing plant - which is where the studio was originally to be built, but the pressing took off and filled the entire facility.

The duplication business is good out there. They do that at Digital Insight, and the owner makes a lot of $$ from it.
