Thread Starter | I need advice on near field monitors!!
Hi, Im looking to get a new pair of monitors in my studio. I guess I'm sick of the fatiguing Yorkville's i've got and I need something else besides my NS-10s. I've been looking at monitors a lot, hoping to purchasing one of the three sometime next week, but i'm having a rough time deciding. The ADAMS S3A mons sound amazing, but there are a lil pricy for me, and as for the ADAMS P33A's and Klein & Hummel 0300D monitors, i've only been had recommendations but I've yet to actually hear them. Can anyone here give me some advice between how these compare to each other as far as translation, power response, and overall fit. I've read some reviews in comparison between the S3A and P33A, but haven't been given enough info to make an educated decision for what to look for when listening. Of course, this is a subjective thread, but I defiantely wanna make the right decision. If anyone can help a young lad out, thad be great. Thnx! P.S. I usually mix rock and Rap |

It really depends on what kind of sound you are looking for. Do you want something more punchy, or more top end? It all depends on what kind of sound you want. I have a pair of the 33's, and I love them, but I usually mix on makie 824's, just cause I'm used to them and I am comfortable with how the mix sounds through them.

IMHO the best near field that are affordable are the Dynaudio BM5a's. I would go to your favorite gear slinger and take a listen ASAP |
