Plug Ins Question

With a lot of plugins on sale right now, which plugin set would you get.

Currently have:

Daw: PT9 and Studio One V2.5 Pro (I Have whatever came stock)

Plugins:
URS- URS Classic Console EQ Bundle (A & N series)
Waves: Musician Bundle 2, Kramer Tape
Cytomic: The Glue
Softube: Saturation Knob (S1 only)

looking at:

Waves: CLA classic compressor
Softube: Summit Audio Grand Channel
PA: SPL Transient Designer or Vertigo VSC-2 or Maag EQ 4

Any suggestions? I have to buy this weekend.

I would say it depends on what you need but all the ones you mentioned are pretty good.

However seeing as you have a few good options compression wise I would suggest The Maag eq. Its a pretty special eq

Spl gets second mention because you dont have anything in your list that does what that does either

hope that helps

Maag is dope--best digital air booster I've heard. CLA bundle is dope--I treat almost all of my vocals with the CLA-2A. SPL Transient designer is dope--I use it to sound design my drums all of the time. They all do different things... If you don't have the Waves API stuff, the collection is worth consideration if you're looking for good EQs--I use these on everything from vocals to kick drums to guitars. Peace.

What do you want or need? Fill the holes that you feel are left open. Or just buy cool shit.

Look through your plugins and note to yourself what your weakest link is. If it's EQs, compressors or whatever, and look into those. Perhaps you have one lying around that could become your next favorite one, maybe you'll find a great soft tubes EQ that you needed.

Select what you need by thinking about what you need in your mixes. Out of what you listed, I would personally go with the grand summit channel or the transient designer/maag EQ.

Transient designers are nice, but the stock one in your DAW might be effective enough for now.

I would look into a workhorse reverb.
