need help with melodyne in logic 9

Are you using it as a VST inside Logic? or as a standalone outside of Logic?
I don't use Logic, but I do use Melodyne with Sonar and i use it as a vst plugin inside of Sonar.

It seems to me that your using it as a standalone. Try using it inside the Logic program

And the other stuff from logic plays through your soundcard? That seems odd. Make sure you've opened as an audio unit inside of logic. If none of the sounds go to your soundcard you'll have to change that in the preferencewindow inside of logic

yes ligc plays through my soundcard, but melodyne just wants to play through the macbook soundcard instead.

]If its inserted as a VST plugin, it shoudl play through the sound card that your LOgic is being through. I would check again
