where on the mpc 2000 (classic) is the resample?

as the title says really, this isn't really for the lofi effect, although that would be nice, but I'm still only using its floppy drive/floppies so I want quick loading times. I'd rather have all samples from one tune on just 1 disk if you know what I mean.
thanks

I think resample is only on the XL.

It's a no frills sampler. Even the filters that come with it arn't usable. I do like it as a sequencer tho.

yeah, I've just come to realize this too. it's my first MPC as well, luckly!!- I have an s950 to pair it up with but I'd still like some days where I just want to use the mpc. Probably should of got the XL but it's no big deal now.

Back in 1998, nobody thought about resampling. The sampler companies were proud of their 16-bit rates. The SP1200 was still being sold new if you wanted 12-bit.

Resampling made a big entrance in 97/98 in the form of the asrx (earlier asr10 also ectect )-with most simple and quick resampling out there. Also the Roland SP808.......Both were actually neck and neck in that department. The MPc2 k was well behind in these stakes.edit-plus the yamaha a3000 circa 98.Things were picking up...

The Zoom Sampletrak, and Korg es-1 even had re-sampling in 1999.
Akai was way behind in this department.
